Reporting a mistake

The most useful correction report names the page, quotes the exact sentence or the calculator inputs, says what you believe is wrong, and points to a public source or a reproducible observation. Reports are judged on evidence. Corrections that change a fact, a figure, or a recommendation are made on the page and its review date is updated; see the corrections policy.

Please do not send

Passwords, account numbers, full utility bills, medical details, or anything else you would not want stored in an email inbox. None of it is needed to report a problem.

What this inbox cannot do

It is not an emergency, legal, medical, electrical, or security service. If you smell gas, see smoke, hear a carbon monoxide alarm, or find exposed wiring, leave the area and contact emergency services or the utility first. Individual guides carry their own safety notices and say where a qualified professional is required.
